6 months in the making, and the first annual “Inspired Family: A Mindful Parenting conference” is only 9 days away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 in Philadelphia!
We have built partnerships with 133 local & national businesses/resources to bring attendees an amazing experience – 48 expert workshops (entire rooms dedicated to your experiences with prenatal, infancy, toddlerhood, self care, and family), swag bags for all attendees with $100+ in products and offers, 50+ raffles totaling over $5,000, and over 40 Marketplace vendors.
We are couple of local Philadelphia moms who are passionate about parenting our children (born 8/2012 and 9/2012), engaging in self care, and having healthy families. Our main goal is to bring together parents interested in natural, mindful, conscious parenting to dialogue with experts and each other, share information, and learn new things, as we each stitch together our own unique parenting styles. There is no prescription for parenting; the needs and experiences of every family are different, and there is no one way to do things. We feel uncomfortable with the commodification of parenthood and believe that you don’t need certain products to be a certain kind of parent. We hope to give parents an opportunity to connect and grow, inspiring others and getting inspired by others!
Our keynote speaker is mindfulness author Carla Naumburg, who will share wisdom from her upcoming book, tentatively titled “Parenting in the Present Moment” (http://carlanaumburg.com).
At the conference we are also collecting donations for Precious Kisses – a division of Project Sweet Peas, an organization that provides care packages to NICU families (http://www.projectsweetpeas.com/index.php/precious-kisses).

The conference will be held on the second floor of the Temple University student center, so it is in perfect proximity to those who live in and around the Philadelphia area. Parking is easily accessible at 2 decks and a few lots within 2-3 blocks of the student center, and SEPTA (both the train and the subway) stops right at Temple just a few blocks from the student center.
We are looking forward to an amazing day and hope that you will join us!
